Description
Enjoy a heartwarming calligraphy workshop designed for couples, families, and friends at the International Calligraphy Art Institute in Tokyo.
In this 90-minute small-group experience, you’ll create a shared calligraphy fan (uchiwa) guided by a professional calligrapher.
Start by learning how to hold the brush and practice simple strokes.
Then, choose meaningful words or kanji together — such as 愛 (love), 絆 (bond), or 夢 (dream) — and combine your brushstrokes on one fan to create a collaborative piece of art.
Your instructor will explain the balance and flow behind each character, offering gentle corrections in red ink.
Once complete, take photos with your finished fan and receive a short handwritten note from the teacher with your kanji meanings.
Perfect for couples seeking a romantic cultural experience, or families looking to create a shared memory — this class offers a calm, creative moment in the heart of Tokyo.
